Alexander Alexandrov

Chairman of BSSA

Alexander Alexandrov is the founder and the managing director of NBS Maritime with extensive experience in the shipping business. Most recently, he has become the chairman of The Bulgarian Association of Ship Suppliers.

In addition, Mr. Alexandrov holds the position of Director of of Purchasing, IT and Communications Department in Navigation Maritime Bulgare since 2008 - the biggest ship owning company in Bulgaria with over a century-old tradition and experience in the shipping industry.

Even though he is a business leader in the maritime sector by education and by 20-year experience, he is also a passionate football venerator by heart. Since 2009 Mr. Alexandrov has been the President of the Professional Football Club LUDOGORETS 1945 .

By holding the position of the chairman of The Bulgarian Association of Ship Suppliers Alexander has a decisive impact on the direction of future development of the maritime business in Bulgaria and more specifically the opportunities, facing Bulgarian ship suppliers with regards to winning new markets at international level.

Mr. Alexandrov holds a Master’s degree in Marine Navigation from Technical University  –  Varna, Bulgaria. He holds ILM Certificate in First Line Management and ILM Certificate in Implementation of strategic plan within business from London Institute of Leadership and Management.
